It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Coy Leithal West of Pryor, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Coy Leithal has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erb West and Loretta West; and his wife J. Vesta West. He is survived by: his children, Coy West II (Carla) of Rogers, AR, Nathan West of Pryor, OK, Honey West of Tulsa, OK and Hollie Ketcher (Jon) of Pryor, OK; and his close friend Miree Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service (1204 NE 1st St, Pryor, OK 74361). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Parkview Missionary Baptist Church (115 W Harrison Ave, Chouteau, OK 74337).
