He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington and Lenora Ellen Leaverton (Howard); his wife Sharon; and his son Troy. He is survived by: his son Melvin Leaverton of Prue; and his sisters, Helen Shaw of Talala, Mary Routon of Ozark and Clarissa "Kate" Thompson of Owasso. He is also survived by many other relatives friends.
