He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cleveland Vinson and Edna June Vinson (Adams); his stepfather Frank Gillum; his grandparents, Carey Silvester Adams, Janice "Bertie" Atchley Adams, Caret Vinson and Ivey May Trotter; and his son Robert "Bobby" Cleveland Vinson, III.
He is survived by: his father-in-law Frank Gillum; his daughters, Debra Tanner (Bill) of Okemah, Robin Forneris (John) of Prague and Vicki St. John (Mike) of Midland, Texas; and his grandchildren, Brandy Howard, Shannon Tomlin (Nick) of Midland, Billy Tanner of Okemah, Derek Sheldon of Prague, Blaine St. John of Midland Texas, Adam Vinson (Abby) of Clovis and Bobby Vinson (Lisa) of Clovis. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and his companion.
