She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Reed and Mildred Reed (Gunter); her brothers, Harold Reed and Don Reed; her husband Franklin "Buddy" VanCuren; her grandson Scott Alan Slayton; and her grandson-in-law Chase.

She is survived by: her sister Patricia Ambler of Prague, OK; her granddaughters, Mistin Ray of Ore Valley, AZ, Angelica Ray of Miami and Ashley Kay Slayton; and her great grandchild Brooke "Boo" Slayton of Chandler, OK..
