She was predeceased by: her husband David Oliver Choate; her children, Donna Johns, David Andrew Choate and Wesley Franklin Choate; her grandson Shawn Choate; and her sister Marell Crews.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Gerrard (Jack) of Oklahoma City, Lakitha Dees of Midwest City and Joseph McKee (Debbie Tsotaddle-McKee) of Tecumseh; her grandchildren, Jerry Johns Jr., Tammy Clark, Michelle Akins, Karen Wilkes, Michael Choate, Crystal Choate, Aniyah Wahnee-McKee and Hayden Wahnee-McKee; and her siblings, Ocie Eugene Jordan of Chandler and Bernice Waunell Spoon of Norman. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
