He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlie "Joe" McGuire and Letha McGuire (Daniel); his wife Jody McGuire (Barbee); his son Jim McGuire; his stepson Michael Nisbett; and his sister Mariella Marsh.

He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Crawford (Dan) and Barbara McGuire; and his stepdaughters, Sharon Pitts (Bill) and Denise Kemble (Stuart). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
