He was predeceased by: his parents, Louella Fowler Brown and William LeeRoy Brown; his sister Carletta; his brother-in-law Harvey Moore; and his sister Earline Mayes.

He is survived by: his wife LaVonne; his grandsons, Randall (Krendy Brown) of Prague, OK and Howard Lee II (Jennifer Brown) of Prague, OK; and his nieces and nephews, Marine Lcpl Garrett Brown, Riana Ramnarine of Carnegie, OK, Tyler Brown, Kamber Brown of Stillwater, OK and Kristian (Anthony Holloway) of Stillwater, OK.
