He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Franklin and Lenora Johnson (Wilson); his siblings, Delores Ross, Edna Irick, Harold Johnson and Arlie Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Vincent and Juanita Coffey.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Thompson; his children, Jami, Chris Stevens of Choctaw, Marci (Mike Colvin), Lori (Matt Simmons) and Chad of Midwest City; his siblings, Reva Baldridge, Rosie Cresap, Shawnee, Karen and Barry Loop; his siblings-in-law, Dreatha Johnson and James Irick of Bryan; his siblings, Gary (Debra Kinslow) and Cathy (Tom Hall); and his grandchildren, Briley Mitchell, Kelsey Mitchell, Talley Mitchell, Maddison Simmons, Kieran Colvin and Reese Colvin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Service - Prague (1405 W Main St, Prague, OK 74864). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at the Resthaven Memorial Park (16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801).
