With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew Escalante Jr. of Poteau, Oklahoma, born in Huntington, Arkansas, who passed away on August 25, 2022 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ellen (Ferro) and Matthew Escalante; his son Chad Escalante; and his brothers, Roy Eugene Escalante and Allen Escalante.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Escalante; his children, Susan Breakfield (Nickolas) of Waldron, AR and Tony Escalante (Valarie) of Greenwood, AR; his brother George Escalante (Pat) of Rosewell, NM; and his grandchildren, Ahlexis Escalante, Brooklyn Escalante, Matthew Alvie Escalante, Miranda Barone, Shane Davis, Chase Cardenas, Maegann Acevedo and Chelsea Escalante.
