He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Carpenter and Josephine Carpenter (Dodd); his siblings, Leonard, Rudolph, Eaulene and Eunice; his sons, Landy and Kevin; and his grandson Kasey Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Matilda; his children, Sarah Gregory (Quentin), Maria Carpenter (Micheal Beebe), Cathi Carpenter, Sheila Brown, Shelley Brown, Michael Carpenter, Jeremiah Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Steve Brown and Pastor Hernandez; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Johnson, Camila, Valeria Hernandez, Kayllynn Carpenter, Beto, Braxton, Maddox, Mason, Hudson Johnson, Dakota, Kolbie, Brixlee, Sofia, Ryland Gregory and Lane Price; and his great grandchildren, Carter and Emma Johnson. He is also survived by other relatives, loved ones and friends.
