He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Ford; and his siblings, Denver, David, Kenneth, Sam, Lillie, Betty and Faye.

He is survived by: his wife Dorotha; his siblings, Bonnie, Charlie and Dennis; his children, Lisa, Paul and Deborah; his grandchildren, Adam, Nick, Daniel and Tanisha; and his great grandchildren, Halli and Evan Caudell. He is also survived by numerous friends, relatives, and caregivers.
