It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Tidwell Jr. of Poteau, Oklahoma, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Sink (Golding) and James Tidwell Sr.; and his siblings, Helan Williams, Patsy Cole, Joan Alden, Raymond Tidwell and Billy Tidwell.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Vequist (David) and Timothy Tidwell; his grandchildren, Timothy Tidwell, Cory Tidwell, Austin Tidwell, David Vequist, Emma Vequist and Daniel Vequist; his great grandchildren, Taya Tidwell, Maya Tidwell and Cole Tidwell; and the mother of his children Janet Tidwell.
