With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bill C. Benton of Poteau, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Denham and Ada Lee Denham (Coss); his wife Emma Benton; and his daughter Christina Nichols. He is survived by: his children, Bret Newman (Corazon) of Poteau, David Denham (Velma) of Knoxville, TN, Adell Butler (Charles) of Riverside, CA and Carol Denham of Florida; his siblings, Ron Denham (Geneva) of Ohio and Jean Burchinal of New Castle, KY; his grandchildren, Bret Newman (Sheri), Brittany Newman, James Spencer, Jeremy Spencer (Rebecca), Jesse Butler (Kimberly), John Butler (Maggie), Blu Denham, Brandon Denham, David Denham, Jr., Bert Nichols and Louis Nichols; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Hartlyn, Bella, Aria, Jasper, Hayvn, Melissa, Jeremy, Brooklyn, Lillian, Gavin, Jesiah and Ella. He is also survived by nine great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Olive Cemetery.
