It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelina Short of Porum, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 22, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Jackson and Mattie Jackson (Pemberton); her husband Kelley Short; her brother Loyd Jackson; her uncle Floyd Jackson; her aunt Fern Jackson; her nephew Ronnie Jackson; her nieces, Dyrnda Rila, Tammy Girty and Kathy Jackson; and her siblings-in-law, Zelma Berry, John Short, Will Short and Calvin "Hobo" Short.
She is survived by: her daughter Ketina McAlvain of Porum, OK; her grandchildren, Julia Jones, Lynette McKelvey, Linda Reid of Warner, OK., Logan Mecom and Payton Mecom of Porum, OK.; her brother Wesley Fleming of Roswell, NM.; her sister-in-law Louise Padgette of Muskogee, OK; and her nieces and nephews, James Jackson (Mary), Russell Jackson (Bernice), Landon Berry (Twyla), Mitchell Girty, Mavrick Padgette (Patricia), Stephen Padgette, Carl Payne, Rick Frazier (Janet), Wayne Julian of Kansas, Rick Jackson (Rhonda) of Porum, OK, Janet Short (Gary), Netta Thomas, Judith Shrum (Keith), Deborah Berry and Dorothy Phillips of Fort Gibson, OK.. She is also survived by great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
