With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Leroy Choate of Pond Creek, Oklahoma, born in Enid, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 16, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Leroy and Ida Lou Ella Choate (Kelly); his brother Jimmie Choate; and his grandson Brandon Reynolds. He is survived by: his former wife Emily Sturm; his cousin David Crabtree (Tommy); his wife Maria Craft; his children, Mike Choate (Janice) of Enid, David Craft of Gage, Jeff Craft (Emalee) of Cleveland, Kelly Cornejo of Woodward and Elizabeth Craft of Skidoo, California; his siblings, Danny Choate (Carroll) of Natoma, Harry Choate (Ginger) of Enid and LouElla Gillpatrick (Jack) of Yukon; his grandchildren, Cameron Cornejo, Casey Cornejo, Gina Huenergardt, Michael Winterbank, Amber Winterbank, Crystal Winterbank, Trevor Parkhurst, Micah Craft, Jasmine Craft, Carlee Martinez, Peyton Craft, Jamie Kunz, Zachary Craft and Zoey Craft; and his great grandchildren, Carson Cornejo, Connor Cornejo, Beckett Cornejo, McKayla Charmasson, Teagan Charmasson, Tate Charmasson, McKinlee Huenergardt, Izabella Winterbank, Dannica Winterbank, Greyson Winterbank, Madden Winterbank, Ethan Gartrell, Emma Kunz, Bradley Reynolds and Rianna Reyonlds.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital with Billings Funeral Home accepting contributions.
