Roger Alan Woods Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Alan Woods of Ponca City, Oklahoma, born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Ann Woods (Wilson) and Jess Woods; his sister Nancy Challis; and his parents-in-law, Jack and Doris Courtney.

He is survived by: his wife Irma Woods of Ponca City; his sister Dee Herde of Kaw City; and his daughters, Denise Godfrey (Lee) of Claremore, Cathy Schieber (Shane) of Goshen, Dawna Wolverton of Ponca City and Diana Moss (Clint) of Perry. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in his honor with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Diabetes Research in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
