With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachel Iona Hess of Ponca City, Oklahoma, born in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, who passed away on July 12, 2023 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rachel Iona Hess to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Conner and Berdie Conner (Briggs); her husband Donald Glenn Hess; her son Jim Hess; and her grandson Brandon Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Janice Buffington (Brian) of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Pam Burks (Rick) of Lampe, Missouri, Patsy Knight (Harold) of Broken Arrow, Dorothy Smith (Albert) of Odessa, Texas and Phillip Hess (Debby) of Sherman, Texas; and her brother Jerry Conner (Kay) of Belle Fourche. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Russell Murray Hospice in Weatherford.
