He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Ellis and Ethel Ellis; his wife Barbara Ann Willms; and his siblings, Ruby Rasey, Thomas Ellis and Walter Ellis.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Edward Ellis (Michele) of Frisco and Lori Renee Mason (John) of Austin; his sister Mary Ann Miller; and his grandchildren, Luke, Anna Ellis, Benjamin, Elizabeth Scott Ploeger and Andrew Mason.
