It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Joseph Gawel (Ponca City, Oklahoma), born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 29, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Jacob Gawel and Melvina Bukowski Gawel; his wife Kay; his children, Drue Gawel of Dallas, TX, Sloan Monsanto (Hugo) and Ryan Gawel (Payam Ghassemou); and his grandchildren, Christian Monsanto and Tyler Monsanto.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Len's name to St. Mary's Catholic School Foundation at 415 S. 7th Street, Ponca City, OK 74601.
