He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ferguson Lanham and Jacqueline Gordon Lanham. He is survived by: his wife Paula Jayne Carr (Thomas Ryan) of Cyprian's Catholic Church; his son John David Lanham (Jennifer) of Lenexa, KS; his grandchildren, Spencer Patrick Lanham and Sydney Grace Lanham; his daughter Diana Marie Winton of Edmond, OK; his grandson Ellis Princeton Winton IV; his daughter Cynthia Renee Elkins (John Wesley Elkins, III) of Midwest City, OK; his grandchildren, John Wesley Elkins, IV and Lily Claire Elkins; his great grandchild Jeffrey Paul Lanham (Michelle) of Tonkawa, OK; and also, Clayton Paul Lopeman and Carter Niles Lopeman.

“As my brother-in-love, John was completely devoted to my dear elder sister Paula. They once drove twin Plymouth sedans and John could find a way to repair anything. His garage/workshop was where the magic happened...between loads of laundry and car tune ups. John and Paula were the quintessential perfect hosts, being sure to include family and friends for special occasions like BBQ's and backyard picnics. He was a great father and Pop-Pop. He will be very much missed. Heaven awaits. Kathy”

Jack & Linda Hosier wrote a sympathy message

“John and I were friends in 1956-59 when his family lived on Kenote St. We spent time playing together. "Playing" to John was working with electronics. In order to communicate, we ran a wire between our two houses - about 5 houses. At each end, John had taken old radios and made them into "walkie talkies" which we connected to the wire. I lost track of John after we moved across town in 1959. But, I remember him fondly and saddened by his passing. RIP John Jack Hosier Long Beach, CA”
