With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Catherine Slovacek in Ponca City, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 2, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carroll Keating and Lucille Graham Keating; her husband Charles Edward Slovacek; her siblings, Neal, Dean Keating and Margaret Keating Horinek; and her son-in-law Bill Forbes.
She is survived by: her children, Julia Soper (Paul) of Tulsa, Mary Forbes Vap (Curtis) of Newkirk, Edward Slovacek (Becky) of Guthrie, Elizabeth Glaser (Tim) of Ponca City and James Slovacek (Kim) of Broomfield, Colorado.; her sister-in-law Betsy Crane of Omaha, NE; her grandchildren, Heath Forbes, Moira Aingell, Brock Forbes, Colin Forbes, Matthew Glaser, Jennifer Caldwell, Eric Slovacek, Sara Slovacek, Michael Slovacek, Daniel Slovacek, Brian Soper and Allison Soper; and her great grandchildren, Titan Glaser, Sophia Glaser, Caleb Allen, Samantha Aingell, Lucy Aingell, Mary Aingell, Noah Forbes, Olivia Forbes, Grant Slovacek, Nolan Slovacek, Spencer Slovacek, Storey Slovacek and Grant Glaser. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
