With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Wirtz of Ponca City, Oklahoma, born in Caldwell, Kansas, who passed away on March 15, 2022 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene Wirtz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harve Emil Wirtz and Lavina Elizabeth Mare Wirtz (Koenig); his wife Zelda Mae Taber; and his brother Max. He is survived by: his children, Connie Wirtz, Jimmy Wirtz (Robin), Jerry Wirtz (Jeanelle) and Lonnie Wirtz (Anna); and his sister Betty Campbell. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma or First Lutheran Church of Ponca City.
