The passing of Gene Rodgers of Ponca City, Oklahoma leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 83. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Price and Ethel N. Rodgers (Neely); his son Darryl Kent Rodgers; his great grandchild Brynton Ridley; and his siblings, Doris Bailey and Keith Rodgers.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Carole Teeter; and his children, Paula Rodgers of Aurora, CO, Leyla Wagner (Scott) of Huntington Beach, CA, Shellie Carter (Garry) of Kaw City, OK, Stephanie Furrer (Scott Pittsey) and Jeff Rodgers of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren with one on the way; several nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trout Funeral Home & Crematory (505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (200 S 6th St, Ponca City, OK 74601).
