He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Kinkaid and Jean Christie Kinkaid; and his brother Dennis Kinkaid. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Kinkaid; his children, Brett Kinkaid (Abbie) of Ponca City, Kelli Kinkaid of Ponca City, Darbi Alstrom (Tuff) of Bartlesville, Luke Kinkaid of Ponca City, Landon Kinkaid (Heather) of Ponca City and Cody Sensintaffar (Heather) of Sand Springs; his grandchildren, Landrie Kinkaid, Carter Backus, Isaac Sensintaffar, Addison Kinkaid, Griffin Sensintaffar, Jack Kinkaid, Nolan Sensintaffar, Paige Sensintaffar, Finley Kinkaid, Cade Sensintaffar, Bower Alstrom, Easton Kinkaid, Truitt Sensintaffar and Monroe Kinkaid; his nephew David Kinkaid (Kelly) of Bixby; his niece Krista Hughey (Eric) of Tennessee; his former wife Cheryl Colwell Kinkaid; his son Caleb Sensintaffar; and his son-in-law Tuff Alstrom.

In lieu of flowers, there has been a scholarship fund established to yearly grant an outgoing Ponca City senior striving for excellence in David's honor.
