He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mack Avery and Cecile McGlasson Avery; his daughter Pamela Avery; and his siblings, Noah Avery, Earl Avery, Carl Avery, Bobby Avery, Myrtle Covington, Edna Coombs and Norma McMartin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Wooden of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his sons, Greg Avery (Betsy) of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Brad Avery (Rhonda) of Edmond, Oklahoma; his siblings, Jean Dwyre, Lorene Smith, Bertha Staerkel and Donald Avery; and his grandchildren, Brennan Avery, Brooke Avery, James Avery and Kate Avery. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
