She was predeceased by: her father Lonnie B Epperson; her son Michael Joe Thornton; her siblings-in-law, Francis and Anna Mae Thornton; and her brothers, Pete, Howard, Lonnie, Sterling, Charles, Leonard and Ernie Epperson.
She is survived by: her husband George Thornton; her children, Debbie Haun (Sharon Belair) and Gerry Thornton; her grandchildren, Ashley Pemberton, Brandy Rinas, Amber Lara, Aaron Belair, Alisha Pemberton, Dillon Belair, Angie Pemberton and Donna Beard; and her siblings, Ella, Dora, Martha, Laura and Ralph. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
