With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cecil Cales Jr. (Ponca City, Oklahoma), who passed away on June 12, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Cales and Vesta Letha Cales (Mike); and his brothers, Robert Cales and Michael. He is survived by: his former wife Nona Shahan (Bill) of Lawton, OK; his children, Sherrie Powell (Tim) of Ponca City, OK and Steve Cales (Donna) of Ponca City, OK; his grandchildren, Tanner Powell (Regina) of Mounds, OK, Chase Cales (Sidney) of Ponca City, OK, Casey Cales (Lucas Roe) of Burbank, OK and Lauren Ivers (Jason) of Ponca City, OK; his sisters, Ruth Gorkuscha (Mischa) of Oklahoma City, OK and Bessie Ratliff of Red Rock, OK; his sister-in-law Ruth Lessert (Pat) of Ponca City, OK; and his cousin Arlin Cales (Sylvia Mitchell). He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
