He is survived by: his wife Triven Slate; and his siblings, Viviene Cumbie, Sharion Kay Trantham, Maryann Stringer, Carol Lynn, Leonette Hammons, Dennis Smith, Dedria Pettus, Nina Goodner and Lisa Buckner. He is also survived by ten grandkids and four great grandkids.
