He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Ann McKenzie; his children, Angie McKenzie Childers and Billy Wayne McKenzie; his granddaughter Hannah McKenzie; and his brothers, E. C, J. W., Darving "Dean" and Ned McKenzie.

He is survived by: his friends, Buddy, Letha Pope, Ronald and Maelene Goins; his children, Tanga "Tangie" Luu of Pocola, Mark McKenzie (Shana) of Pocola and Ve Dao (Tracy) of Houston, Texas; his sisters, Pearl Mankins of Short, Mary Atkins of Charleston, Sue Bradford of Uniontown and Rachel Murphy of Cedarville, Arkansas; his siblings-in-law, Wanda McKenzie, Clara Treat and Don Allen Bradshaw; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Luu (Lyndsey), Mindy Beesley (Chad), Dody Luu (Michele), Christopher, Hunter, Landon McKenzie, Michele, Kimberly and Tony Dao. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
