He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mitchell and Evelyn Lyons Lightfoot; his brother Robert M. Lightfoot III of Des Plaines; and his grandparents, Robert M., Florence Jean Lightfoot, Bartlett L. and Marjorie L. Lyons.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Joyce Lightfoot; his sons, Stephen J. Lightfoot (Sasha Maddox Lightfoot) and Philip N. Lightfoot (Lesley Alice Lightfoot) of Rockville; and his grandchildren, Evelyn, Benjamin, Vivian, Mitchell and Simon Lightfoot. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
