She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Ann Baker (Voss) and Edward Britton Baker. She is survived by: her husband Allen Piel; her daughters, Patricia Wilcox (David) and Shirley Piel; her grandchildren, April Blansett (Billy) and John Curtis (Stephanie); and her great grandchildren, Britton, Braelynn, Naythyn and Kaleigha. She is also survived by step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She also loved to paint and would donate her paintings to places like Perry Hospital to be displayed.
