We bid farewell to Betty Jean Petermann (Perry, Oklahoma), born in Cushing, Oklahoma, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 9, 2025 at the age of 97. Betty Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lottie Elma Cromwell (Dawes) and Cullen Cromwell; her siblings, Lorrain Minnix, Pauline Bay, Levi Cromwell and Frank Cromwell; her parents-in-law, Kathryn and Ernest Petermann; her siblings-in-law, Walter Petermann, Alfred, Helen Petermann, Doris, Pete Bronner, Harry, Delores Petermann, LaDonna Petermann, Floyd Bay Jr. (Junior), Elmer Minnix and Lois Cromwell; her nephew Richard Minnix; her niece Connie Chenoweth; and her great-nephew Tim Kukuk.
She is survived by: her husband Albert "Bud" Petermann; her children, Cheryl Langstraat (Steve) and Ron; her son-in-law Steve; her grandchildren, Chad and Kyla; and her great grandchild Claire.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Perry - Dighton Marler Funeral Home (203 Fir St, Perry, OK 73077). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (601 N 7th St, Perry, OK 73077). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pleasant Valley Sumner Cemetery.
