He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pool and Fay Pool. He is survived by: his children, Carl, Jaqulynn "Red" and Julie; his brother Jay Pool (Mary) of Amarillo; his wife Tanya Pool; his children, Charly Pool, Casondra Pool and Barbara Pool of Perkins; his stepdaughter Raven Wheeler; his granddaughters, Angela and Nevaeh of Amarillo; and his stepchildren, Ivy Wheeler of Amarillo and Hunter Wheeler of Amarillo.
