He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rudolf Constien and Florence Constien (Weber); his wife Norma Jean Mellies of Perkins; his daughters, Katherine Boshart (Chad), Elizabeth of Malcolm, Nebraska and Suzanne Marshall (Matt); his grandchildren, Newton and Lillian of Perkins, Oklahoma; and his brother Vernon (Dorothy Constien).
