She was predeceased by: her daughter LaDonna Kay Elston (Followed); her great-grandparents, Smoke and Nola Johnson; her parents, Louis Elston and Lucille Elston; and her sisters, Bonnie, Marcia, Claudine and Jackie.

She is survived by: her husband Kevin Johnson; her children, Jason Lamarr Johnson (Candace) of Guthrie, OK and Montez Elston of Stillwater, OK; her grandchildren, Kendall, Randall, Flavea, Marlon, Malcolm, Casey, Gabe, Aunika and Conner; her great grandchildren, Kaia, Fierce, Phoster, Nevaeh and Casey James; her nephew Corey Smith; and her niece Angela Watson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
