It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Eugene Cheves (Pawhuska, Oklahoma), who passed away on June 30, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; and his sisters, Juanita Jean, Geneva Jean and Wanda Jean. He is survived by: his children, Rick Cheves of Pawhuska, David Cheves (Teresa) of Fairfax, Jimmy Cheves (Georgeanna) of Pawhuska and Jaclynn Cheves Balzer of Cordell; his grandchildren, Cody Cheves (Latoya) of Stockton, Claudia Hampton (Jack) of Shidler, Grant Cheves (Tia) of Oolagah, Aaron Cheves (Heather) of Pawhuska, Laramie Balzer of Cordell, Lindsey Carlisle (Kris) of Weatherford and Layne Balzer of Cordell; and his great grandchildren, Robert Hinojosa of Kannon Williams, Wyatt, Lena, Will, Lyza Hampton, Beau Cheves, Luke Morgan, Isaiah Smith, Mallary Smith, Gabe Cheves, Kailsey, Kienan, Kaylor, Kane, Kayden, Kinlee Cheves and Langston Balzer.
