He was predeceased by: his parents, Lero Ballard and Dortha Ballard; his former wife Carolyn Coleman; his wife Janette Hardesty; his children, Mark Hardesty and Linda Schollenbarger; his son-in-law Eldon Schollenbarger; his grandson Cody Beckley; and his great grandchild Liam Chandler.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Ballard Jr. (Lori), Leann Beckley (Mitch), Jeremy Ballard (Vanesa), Matthew Riley and Caryn Hays (Mike); and his daughter-in-law Shelly Hardesty Shields. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Henson-Novak Funeral Directors (501 NW 5th St, Guymon, OK 73942). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Lane Baptist Church (1515 N Sunset Ln, Guymon, OK 73942).
