It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jo Ann James of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Bob and Bernice Thompson; her brothers, Anthony Thompson (Tony) and Ricky Thompson; her son Greg James; her grandparents, Hobb and Belle Tate; and her uncle Gary Lynn Tate.
She is survived by: her children, Stacy Delaplain (Bill), Mark James (Vickie) and Gary James (Amanda); her grandchildren, Jonathon Bowie, Aaron Delaplain, Natalie Delaplain, Ashlee Hines-Hill, Kayla James, Dairianne James, Justyce James and Lauren James; her brother John Thompson (Maggie); her nephew Paul Thompson; her sister-in-law Linda Thompson; and her nieces, Sarah Thompson Durham and Jamie Thompson. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (1906 S Chickasaw St, Pauls Valley, OK 73075).
