He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia B. Ammons; his parents, John Lee and Annie Pearl Ammons; his brothers, J. N. Bryant (Joy), John L. Ammons, Barry Gene Ammons and Rodney Wayne Ammons; and his stepgrandson David R. Marler.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Albert Ammons; his sister Dorothy Gibson; and his stepchildren, Ronald Eatmon, Kevin Gibson, Kelton Gibson, Tyler Lincecum and Kimberly Thomas. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
