He was predeceased by: his parents, Guster George White and Willie May White (Anthony); and his sisters, Maxine, Joanie, Elaine and Ilene.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hope-White; his children, James White of Shawnee, Lacinda White of Stockton, Deanna Whitmore of Beatrice, Justin White of Okemah and Tandra Eardman of Okemah; and his sisters, Doris Fox of Texas and Patty Riggins of Stockton, California. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
