He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hudson Cowles and Edith Waresback Cowles; his brothers, Kenneth and Johnnie Cowles; and his brother-in-law Burl Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Rachael Crow Cowles; his daughters, Raley Cowles of Owasso, OK and Allison Ashley (Nate Ashley) of Tulsa, OK.; his siblings, Jerry Cowles (Ann), Jimmy Cowles, Martin Waresback, Scott Cowles (Dinah), Mary Watkins and Sandra Cowles; and his sister-in-law Jane Cowles. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
