She was predeceased by: her parents, Strawdey McCarty and Ruth McCarty (Fain); her son Michael Edward Stokes; and her brother Clinton McCarty. She is survived by: her husband Earl Stokes; her daughter-in-law Melanie Stokes; her grandson Michael Stokes-Missy; her great grandchild Michael Skyler Stokes-Doherty; her sister-in-law Judy McCarty; and her nieces and nephews, Annette, Kenny Asher, John, Wendy McCarty and Mark McCarty.
