Frances Herod Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2023, at the age of 96, Frances Herod in Owasso, Oklahoma, born in Gadsden, Alabama passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frances Herod to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Norris Roberts and Ollie C. McClusky Roberts; her husbands, Charles R. Garrison and George F. Herod; and her siblings, Bill Roberts, Jack Roberts, Mildred Denison, Jennie Hill, Shirley Sheets and Kate Stafford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandy Chandler (Joe) of Owasso and Connie Oglesby (Doug) of Tulsa; and her great grandchildren, Mindy Oglesby of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jonathan Oglesby (Kari) of Morris, Jason Oglesby of Tulsa, Christy Waterbury (Daniel) of Oklahoma City and Becky Kankelfritz (Mike) of Tucson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The class grew and was active until the Pandemic of 2020. During the Pandemic, she prepared Sunday School lessons and shared them through email with shut-ins, members who moved away, as well as anyone who requested them.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in Frances's memory to the Owasso Methodist Church, 13800 East 106th Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055.
