She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Phillip Isaac Sligar and Odessa Florence Catlett; her children, Jimmy Charles Hicks of Palmdale, CA and Kacina Spruell (Charles Gorby) of Alvin, TX; and her brothers, G. H. Sligar of Talala and Bobby Joe Sligar (Debbie) of Talala. She was also cherished by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
