He was predeceased by: his parents, David Logan Powell and Vena Mae Randall (Sampson); his grandmother Mabel Hill; his wife Rose Phillips; and his siblings, Anita Sue Powell, Richard Lynn Powell and Billy Jones.
He is survived by: his daughter Annette Powell-Taylor (Chance Taylor) of Checotah; his grandchildren, Rowdey Osceola of Big Cypress, Florida, Leah Ann Hill of Big Cypress, Florida and Lila Mae Hill of Big Cypress, Florida; and his siblings, Sharon Whitecloud of Okmulgee, Pamela Palmer of Okmulgee, Peggy Powell of Durant, Butch Powell of Tulsa, David Powell Jr. of Okmulgee and Mitchell Powell of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Integrity Funeral Service (410 E Trudgeon St, Henryetta, OK 74437). A wake will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Gravecreek Indian Baptist Church (407337 E 1030 Rd, Hitchita, OK 74422). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
