Phillip Dale Gilstrap Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2025, at the age of 86, Phillip Dale Gilstrap of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, born in Poteau, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gilstrap and Ella Mae Gilstrap (Gregory); his siblings, Thell, Clarence, Jiggs, Bobby, Waunita Sterling, Bettie Vick, Blue McKenzie, Patsy Qualls and Melba Jo Gilstrap; and his stepson Leroy VanAntwerp III.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Gilstrap; his children, Phillip Dale Gilstrap, Jr. (Wanda) of Poteau, Renee Stottsberry (Pete) of Vian and Danny Hodge (Kim) of Okmulgee; and his grandchildren, Delia, Bri, Lacey, Laney, Leroy, Liam, Owen and Gavin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home (303 E 7th St, Okmulgee, OK 74447). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God of Okmulgee (301 N Seminole Ave, Okmulgee, OK 74447).
