He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottoway Sheared Sr. and Levesta Wilson; his siblings, Gloria Sheared and Allen Sheared; his niece Lakesha Sheared; his nephew Kevin Sheared; his mother-in-law Iola Hill; and his brother-in-law Theodore Ford.
He is survived by: his wife Earnestine Ford; his children, Martin Sheared Sr. of Okmulgee, Pamela Metcalf (Kenneth) of Okmulgee, Prentice Ford (Barbara) of Okmulgee, Patrick Ford of Okmulgee, Marie Ford of Okmulgee and Renea Ford-Adeyemo (Adebowale) of Mansfield, Texas; his siblings, Talmadge Sheared (Dorothy) of Chicago, Curtis Sheared of Chicago, Etta Mae Skinner of Chicago, Barbara Jean Collins of Chicago and Rose Grinstead of Mississippi; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Ferguson, Kim Williams, Earnest Ford, Lloyd Durham (Kim), Kenneth Williams, Willie Griggs and Walter Wilson. He is also survived by numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family; and a host of brothers and sisters.
