She was predeceased by: her parents, Rafael Alvarez Esquivel and Antonia Santana (Torres); and her brothers, Ramon, Rafael Antonio and Ruben Carmen.
She is survived by: her husband Claude Verndell Sumner; her sisters, Mary Louise Williams and Christine E West of Dallas, Texas.; her children, Byron F Bounds (Terri), Leslie B Workman of Kansas City, Missouri and John E Bounds of San Antonio, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Troy Lee Workman and Brooklyn Jean Bounds.
