He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie V. Gassaway, Sr. and Esther Clyde Gassaway (Manes); and his siblings, Cleona McNeill (Jimmy), Wanda Morris (Ray) and J. W. Gassaway (Marie).
He is survived by: his son Ryan (Malaynee Gassaway); his wife Nancy; his son Grant Gassaway of Colorado; and his grandchildren, Wyatt Gassaway, Jackylin Carlin, Levi Gassaway, Eva Elizabeth Gassaway and Sophia Gassaway. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
