He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward and Beverlyn Truephina Waters (Hooper); and his daughter Diane Truephina Waters. He is survived by: his wife Bettie Jean Brassfield; his daughter Laura Embrey (Bill) of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Roger McCollum of Crossett, Arkansas, Joyce Phillips (Jimmy) of Okmulgee and Brenda McCollum of Texas. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
